I started Burton Agency in 2020 because of my personal experience as a client. For years, I was paying for items my family would never use or need, and my policies were missing major discounts. This resulted in an overpayment of over $4,000 in just a few years. Once I took a deeper dive into my coverage and reviewed missing discounts that should have been added years prior (especially the multi-policy discount), I asked my agent how I would be refunded for the overpayments. The answer was "Sorry, you won't be." At that moment, I knew there was a better way to take care of people.
I'd spent my career in healthcare, where showing up and taking care of people wasn't optional — it was my mission. When I went into insurance, I brought that same approach with me. If you call, I answer. If you have a question at 8 PM on a Tuesday, I'll get back to you, many times that same night. If something doesn't make sense on your policy, I'll explain it until it does.
I didn't come from a big insurance background or a corporate sales floor. I came from real life — raising a family, managing a household budget, trying to figure out what we actually needed versus what someone was trying to sell us. That perspective shapes everything about how I run this agency.
